Middlesex in the Community is the charitable arm of Middlesex Cricket. Our purpose is to oversee participation and recreational cricket within the 17 London Boroughs that form the area we know as Middlesex.
The vision of Middlesex in the Community is to engage a new generation of players by highlighting the fun that can be had and the positive impact cricket can have on the lives of people and their communities.
We will achieve this by being progressive and making cricket an open and welcoming game for everyone. We will use cricket to help address and bring positive outcomes to the key challenges that face the people and communities of Middlesex.
Cricket is a wonderful game and Middlesex is a unique and glorious place to play it.
The purpose of Middlesex in the Community is to develop and grow cricket within the 17 London boroughs that form the area we know as Middlesex. We aim to do this by highlighting what cricket has to offer, and the positive impact it can have on the people and communities who play or are involve in it.
Cricket within Middlesex is special. It is distinctive because of its diversity, vibrancy and urbanicity. Few, if any, regions of the country come close to touching its features.
Our role is twofold. It is to support, encourage and develop all those already involved in the game. Whether they are playing men’s, women’s, junior or disability cricket, umpiring, scoring or assisting in the running of their club, we need to ensure these people are safe, feel welcome and have an enjoyable experience.
If you would like guidance on how to play or be involved please contact us at mitc@middlesexccc.com
We also want to engage with a new generation of players and participants by inspiring them to play or become involved. Cricket is not solely about playing. There are so many different roles and skills required for cricket to take place. These include coaching, umpiring, scoring and administrating.
We aim to provide the widest possible audience with opportunities to be involved. We want cricket to be available to everyone within our communities. We want every resident, no matter age, background or ability to have the opportunity to play the game.
If you would like help in getting cricket played in your local community please contact us at mitc@middlesexccc.com
Cricket couldn’t survive without the contribution of volunteers. They support every area of the game, whether it be the running of clubs and teams, the preparation of grounds, coaching or officiating. We offer support and training to help volunteers develop and make a difference to the clubs they love.
If you would like help in developing your skill-set or ideas you may have please contact us at mitc@middlesexccc.com
