ICC WOMEN'S T20 WORLD CUP 2026

Middlesex in the Community have a desire to use the global spotlight of the 2026 Women’s T20 World Cup to inspire a new generation of women and girls across Middlesex to pick up a bat and ball, feel welcome in cricket spaces, and belong to a sport that celebrates their talent, confidence, and community.

In the build-up to and throughout the tournament, we are keen to work within our clubs in order to accelerate change and growth of the Women's and Girls' game within the county. To this end, we have produced our WWC’26 Inspire Strategy that outlines the way in which clubs can be involved, which includes the following:

National Schools Cricket Day – Thursday 23rd April

Join us on our mission to spread the message about the WWC’26 to over 5000 children. We’re keen for clubs to use this day as a way to promote their own activities, particularly upcoming girls' coaching programmes. Register your club, coach and nominate a school here. Register HERE

Women’s World Cup Champion (WWCC)

In line with one of our strategic goals of increasing female representation in positions of responsibility, we are asking clubs to appoint a Women’s World Cup Champion (preferably female) to be the first point of contact for all MITC updates regarding the WWC and be responsible for the delivery of one club-based project. The WWCC will gain access to networking events and become a vital part of the volunteer workforce within clubs throughout the year. To register your club Champion, click HERE.

Club Watch Parties

As hosts, we have a collective responsibility to ensure that as many eyes are on the tournament as possible in order to create the biggest impact. Therefore, we are calling on clubs to host an event, open up their doors to their members and community, maybe even put on some food and create an enjoyable atmosphere to support the tournament. Let us know about your watch party plans HERE.

Girls-Only All Stars & Dynamos Cricket

We’re hoping that, like previous cricket world cups, the Women’s European Championships and Women’s Rugby World Cup, the upcoming tournament will shine a spotlight on Women’s Cricket and create role models that girls across the county want to emulate. As such, we’re keen to ensure that we have a provision across the county for any girl who wants to pick up a bat or ball to be able to do so through All Stars or Dynamos Cricket.
